HERE ARE THREE RESOURCES FOR THE BIRTHDAY PARTY: RESOURCE #1 (CLICK HERE) RESOURCE #2 (CLICK HERE) RESOURCE #3 (CLICK HERE) COOL RESPONSE TO PLAY - CLICK HERE! Remember to think about the subtext (the stuff that is not said). Is Meg suffering from a mental illness? What about Stanley? Goldberg? What about Meg and Pete's relationship? Stanley and Meg's? What is not said that answers these questions? THE RESOURCES SHOULD HELP YOU! GO THROUGH THEM AND USE THEM IN YOUR STUDIES! We are only a couple days out, and then it's party time. All that we have been working for ALL YEAR is coming to a close (albeit a little later than the other students), but it's time to take advantage of the opportunities that those other students NEVER GOT! Capitalize on this experience. IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END! Remember, easier now is harder later! THAT IS FOR SURE!!!!! Then, on Friday, we release, relax, laugh, and CELEBRATE ALL OF OUR HARD WORK! IMPORTANT REMINDER:
As an AICE Literature student, you committed to preparing for your exam and making the most of the opportunity for yet another THREE college credits (credits which go toward the third English requirement in college, FYI). On test days, the invigilators will carefully monitor your progress. If you blow off the exam, or fail to show up on test day, you will be responsible for a $100 financial obligation. Please make the most of this opportunity! We will be meeting on Tuesday in our classroom instead of the auditorium. You do not need to get a visitor's pass...just go straight to our room. Our focus will be S & S, so bring your books and quotes charts. Also bring $ for lunch. We will order something.... Remember to wear jeans and a spirit shirt of some sort. Don't forget to bring in your ppt slide (even if you emailed it to us) and your $10 for our end-of-the-three-years celebration!

Sign-up for our Remind 101 account - the RoGo Force - at: https://www.remind101.com/join/rogof It's a grade, so it's got to be done by Monday! YOU ALSO NEED TO PAY YOUR AICE FEES IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO ALREADY (ALSO A GRADE). MAKE IT HAPPEN! THESE ARE EASY A's SO CAPITALIZE ON THEM! THANKS! CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY PPT. You will submit your AB on turnitin.com. It's open. Be ready for a quiz on Chapters 11 & 12. If you cannot come to fourth, we expect to see you sixth! We're almost there, guys! Don't give up yet! :)
FOR TUESDAY, 5/13:
YOU ONLY HAVE TO READ CHAPTER 10. SINCE WE DID NOT GET TO GO OVER IT, AND YOU HAVE YOUR AP GOV. TEST, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY TODAY. IF YOU WILL BE MISSING FOURTH BECAUSE OF THE EXAM, PLEASE COME FOR 6TH PERIOD. IF YOU HAVE AN ELECTIVE OR ANOTHER AICE/AP CLASS THAT HAS ALREADY TESTED, THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN'T COME HERE. GOOD LUCK TOMORROW! WE ARE PULLING FOR YOU! ~ ANOTHER CHANGE IN THE READING SCHEDULE: READ 8 & 9 FOR FRIDAY! BE PREPARED FOR A QUIZ ON CH. 5-9. IF YOU ARE GOING TO MISS DUE TO TESTING, YOU NEED TO WRITE 3 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS PER CHAPTER...and IT'S DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR CLASS PERIOD (TO GIVE YOU SOME BREATHING ROOM TO FOCUS ON YOUR AICE or AP TESTS).
LOVE YOU ALL! CHANGE TO READING CALENDAR:
SINCE WE READ CHAPTER 5 IN CLASS TODAY, YOUR HW IS TO READ CHAPTERS 6 & 7 FOR WEDNESDAY. BE READY FOR AN ANNOTATION CHECK OR A QUIZ! xoxoxo! The reading calendar for The God of Small Things is to the right. It is VERY possible that we will be checking annotations and/or quote charts each day. BE ON IT! We're almost to the finish line, Team RoGo! :o) Almost there....
As you read chapter 1, don't be surprised if you have several questions left unanswered. Roy designed her novel this way. Period 4, read chapter 1. Period 6, read chapter 1 and some. This will reduce the amount of reading you will have to accomplish by Thursday. Paper 3 & 4 Testers, this is for you:
You will participate in an indoor field trip Tuesday, 4/22 and Wednesday, 4/23 to review for the Paper 3 and 4 exams. Once attendance is taken and the announcement to dismiss students is made, report to room 3210. Come prepared: poems, poem charts, Half of A Yellow Sun, notes, paper, pen, and a positive attitude! :o) FOR THIS WEEK (4/17-4/25): On Monday, you will need to turn in a quote chart for The Birthday Party. Click HERE for the chart. You can add more pages if there are more quotes you want to add. Many of you did not capitalize on this assignment for S & S; thus, your grades were not too good. (Maybe some of you missed it the first several hundred times we've said it, but QUALITY MATTERS!) Your chart needs to be EXTENSIVE, should include stage directions, and must represent all of the characters from different vantage points (what other characters say about each other, and how the characters are represented in different themes). Bring your play packets AND your charts...and expect an exam on Monday. Happy reading (or rereading). (If you are NOT taking the test for Papers 5 & 6, you will need to read more poems and do your blue papers (you should be up to 10 by now). Only four of you have posted comments for the poem ppts. THAT IS A GRADE, so get it done...please.) Wednesday you will be attending the senior field day at school. Class will resume on Friday. BE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR COPY of The God of Small Things by then. (We are ordering books today for those who paid in class.) Have a great long weekend. Many of you had another Spring Break this week, so we expect to see you all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed come Monday.... HERE IS THE PLAN FOR TOMORROW AND WEDNESDAY:
You will follow a regular bell schedule Monday and Wednesday according to the room assignments below.
ALL AICE STUDENTS ARE SCHEDULED FOR AICE WORKSHOPS ON MONDAY & WEDNESDAY (EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE GIVEN FT FORMS). WE WERE INFORMED OF THIS ON THURSDAY, AND WHEN WE LEFT FOR GRAD BASH ON FRIDAY, DECISIONS ABOUT THE ROTATION SCHEDULE WERE NOT SOLIDIFIED. WHAT WE DO KNOW IS YOU MUST REPORT LIKE A NORMAL SCHOOL DAY (7:20). AFTER ATTENDANCE, ANNOUNCEMENTS WILL BE MADE AND SIGNS WILL INFORM YOU WHERE TO GO. CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, RoGo DID NOT COME UP WITH THIS IDEA (THOUGH WE LIKE IT), BUT YOU WILL VISIT WITH MOST OF YOUR AICE TEACHERS AT SOME POINT ON MON or WED. WHETHER WE ARE ON THE WORKSHOP SCHEDULE FOR MONDAY OR NOT, DON'T FORGET THAT YOUR QUOTE CHARTS ARE DUE BY 7:20. See you soon! SCRAPBOOKS ARE DUE ON MONDAY - 15 pages and 2 for your analysis!!! (Fourth, you are spared - we will leave it at 15). Use the Scrapbook Self-Checklist as you revise or redo your final pages. Please remember that you MUST submit your work on time (no absences on project days). Be advised that we will not take any email copies. Since there is no reading or HW this week, you should be WORKING ON IT NOW (LIKE TONIGHT)!!!! We love you! :)
6th Period students:
You will get your scrapbook pages tomorrow, Wednesday. :o)
PERIOD 4: Even though you have heard otherwise, WE WILL BE MEETING 4th PERIOD TOMORROW, 2/25...EXCEPT IT WILL BE IN THE AUDITORIUM. We will send out passes 5th period today (Monday) or 2nd period tomorrow. At 9:20, you will leave whatever room you are in and go to the auditorium. BE READY TO DISCUSS CHAPTERS 27-35! SEE YOU THEN!
REMINDER: Many of you have forgotten that your work is due BEFORE you attend any school-related field trip (many of you received zeros for your pages today). We want you to have fun, but it should not be at the cost of inconveniencing us.
HW DUE FRIDAY: You need to read chapters 32-34, and you will need to turn in EIGHT rough draft pages for your scrapbook - the ones that you have already turned in (but revised and vamped up) and a few more that are on point. (Keep reading for what we mean by "revised, vamped-up, and on point.") Many of you are not clear about what should be on these pages. You should include graphics, quotes, and other tidbits that reflect your character (e.g., poems, lyrics, journal entries, and to-do lists, to name a few). EVERYTHING you include on your pages MUST reflect the goings-on in the novel and/or Austen's style. EVERYTHING you add needs to be backed up by quotes. You simply cannot put "quote goes here." You MUST include the quotes (at least two per page)!!!!! Most importantly, do not let the ROUGH in rough draft fool you! These pages serve as your plan; THEY MUST BE THOUGHTFUL, SPECIFIC, and HIGH-QUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they are not, we will not accept them. YOU NEED TO DO THIS RIGHT!!!!!! If you are going to miss on Friday, we expect all 8 pages before your class period begins...and you will need to create three discussion questions per chapter and responses to those questions. Be sure to include page numbers and quotes. QUIZ MAKE-UP for CHAPTERS 28-31: Period 4 - Your make-up is tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 6:45 a.m. C-Rod will meet you downstairs by the elevator. If you are late, sorry. Period 6 - An announcement was made at 1:25 today that seniors on the field trip would be returning to class. If you didn't return, sorry, you missed your make-up opportunity.
NEW: Confused about the characters in Sense and Sensibility? Go to the Lit Review page to see character trees!
Some of you were wondering about the deadline for submitting your revisions of your AYLI papers on turnitin.com. You can still submit it, though it shows it's late by the program. We tried to go in and switch the due to date to today (1/23) at 10 p.m., but it wouldn't let us...since the peer review assignment was already in progress. Either way, we allowed for late submissions, so you still should have uploaded it...or at least tried to email us about it. Get it done! You've got this!
WE NEED PAPER TOWEL ROLLS! We don't need paper towels; we JUST NEED THE ROLL! We need 200 in a week! HURRY UP, PLEASE!

As You Like It Poem Project: SORRY - I SEE THAT THIS POST WAS NOT PUBLISHED WHEN WE UPDATED IT ON 12/19 (which would explain the emails you were sending about the due date. LOL!) ANYWAY... Using phrases, sentences, and/or lines from the play, create a 200-word poem (or you can make two that equal 200 words). Even though your poem will be comprised of different parts from within the play, it must be cohesive and fluid and should contain various stylistic elements. Your poem doesn't necessarily have to rhyme, nor does it have to be in a certain format; you get to choose! The words in your poem don't have to be exact, but they should be fairly close. You can change some of the words, the order of the phrases, or you can paraphrase some of the lines. The bottom line is - make this poem mean something, and it will be more likely to stick in your brain when test time rolls around. Project Details: You will need to submit two copies of your poem: One will be the final draft and will be added to the tree outside our classroom. Your final draft must fit on a HALF sheet of paper. Feel free to decorate it, use interesting paper, fun fonts, etc. See my copy by CLICKING HERE. (Please note: I would have made it look much nicer if I wasn't trying to post an electronic copy.) You must also submit a copy of your poem that shows the page number WHERE you found your lines, the character who uttered the line(s), the stylistic elements used, your word count, and your poem's format. This copy can be on a full sheet of paper or two. CLICK HERE to see my copy. (Please note: I chose to do two poems. The one I am sharing with you now is about 135 words. and my second will be about 65 words. I am saving my second until the due date, so I don't use ideas you may already have.) Method for Creating My Poem: I read the entire play (yes, again), highlighted more lines that appealed to me, looked for a common theme, then I started creating my poem from those highlighted lines. I chose to do mine Shakespearean rhyme, meter, and sonnet form (though I added an extra quatrain). WHY??? Because I love a challenge!!! LOL! I also wanted it to be meaningful- I never just do something to do it!!!! Once I created my poem, I went back and looked through my highlighted lines and listed the page number, the character, the act and scene of my lines. I then identified the stylistic elements employed. I will warn you, this took a lot of time (even for me), so don't wait until the night before it's due!!!!! It probably took me about 8 hours of writing...and THAT DIDN'T INCLUDE ALL THE TIME I TOOK AS WE READ TO HIGHLIGHT LINES THAT I KNEW I MIGHT USE FOR THIS POEM, NOR DOES IT INCLUDE THE TIME I TOOK TO REREAD AND RE-HIGHLIGHT. Those of you who plan to slap something together may take significantly less time, but, AGAIN, I wanted it to be challenging, meaningful, and help me evolve as a writer and thinker! You do what you want.... Due Date(s): This poem project is due on Tuesday, 1/14; however, if you want EXTRA CREDIT, it is due on Monday, 1/6. You DO NOT have to do this over break, but if you need extra credit for the nine weeks, it would be a good idea to tackle it now. There is no pressure, no sarcasm, no nada (sorry for the double negative); it is COMPLETELY up to you. :) HAPPY NEW YEAR, KIDDOS! We love you very much!!!! AS YOU LIKE IT
Below is the play version that was performed at the Globe Theatre: We are blessed with your magic each day, and for that we are grateful! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families! We love you!
BLESSING BASKET TIME!

GETTING READY FOR FRIDAY'S WORKSHOP:
In addition to Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf, you will need a copy of Richard III OR Streetcar Named Desire (it depends which one you want to respond to for the test). You will also need to bring in some other items to stay for the review (and if you come unprepared, the same rules for Tuesday's workshop apply: you will be asked to leave). If you are choosing Streetcar over Richard III, and you don't have a copy, click here for a PDF. Bring it in PRINTED! If you print two pages on one side and do it front and back (pages side-by-side), it will only be 26 pages...or you can go out an buy a copy before then. VIDEOS ON THE
NIGERIAN-BIAFRAN WAR (READ DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST!) Combined, they are about 55 minutes long. WATCH THEM ALL! Even after watching just one part (I plan to watch the rest this weekend), there are so many commonalities between the video and our novel. As you watch, write down bits from the videos that relate to bits of the novel. (See why we thought that Nigeria and Biafra could be "characters" in our novel. We need to know them, too!) Be reminded that the "g" in Igbo is silent, so when you hear "ee-bow," that is Igbo. Interestingly, when I watched the first part this morning, it confirmed what we read in the novel, and I was able to make a LINK between the two: The Biafrans were cut off by land, water, and air, which left them vulernable to attack and kwashiorkor. This is metaphorical as well. Odenigbo becomes isolated, much like Biafra, and there is no way to reach him. "His vulnerability hide[s] itself so well underneath [his] voluble confidence"; however, Odenigbo's vulnerability and emotional defeat after his mother's death prevents Olanna from accessing him emotionally, intellectually, and even sexually. As a result, their relationship becomes malnourished and ultimately suffers. Adichie's characterization of Odenigbo through his internal and external strife amplifes the vulnerability and struggle of the Republic of Biafra. NOW WATCH THE VIDEOS AND LOOK FOR YOUR OWN LINKS! Remember, guys, what you put into this is what you will get out of it! You want a top score? "You gotta work!!!!" UPDATED CURRICULAR CALENDAR
DON'T GIVE UP!
In case you needed some lifting,
click on the video link below. We're sure you will get the metaphor! LOVE YOU GUYS! To motivate you....

TUESDAY'S IN-HOUSE AICE LIT WORKSHOP
and OTHER INFO: YOU NEED TO STUDY THIS WEEKEND AND COME IN PREPARED! Know your top ten poems (names of poems, the last names of their authors, and two to three quotes per poem); you must also know your quotes for Half of a Yellow Sun; and you must have your essay in hand (the prompt is this post),
BE ADVISED that you will have a quiz when you walk in the door, and if you fail it (and/or if you do not have your essay), you will be asked to leave...PERIOD.
BOTH CLASSES - Use the resources on this site to prepare you! The LIT REVIEW page has lots of information on the poems (I added PPTs today), and we added videos of the Nigerian-Biafran War (to the right) so take a look! For your poetry essay, we recommend you really study first (without looking at the prompt either). We would like you to attempt it without the use of your notes. Take one hour, don't use your notes, and just write. I don't think at this point we need to tell you about not cheating. 'Nough Said! No need for umbrella statements or conclusions! Remember to PEEL out!!!! CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE ESSAY. PERIOD 4 - If you did not get back your HoaYS essay, email us, and we'll scan it (or take a picture), then email (or text) it back. As you already know (but just in case), our email is [email protected]. In your email, all you have to do put your name in the subject line. You do not need to email us a message. JUST THE SUBJECT LINE WITH YOUR NAME IS FINE! PERIOD 6 - We will figure out how we will approach returning your HoaYS essays before the weekend is up. DO NOT email us about getting your essays back just yet. OUR MAY TESTERS (REVISED) - You will NOT be participating in tomorrow's activity. Why make you miss class if you are not testing? Just report to the auditorium at your normal class time. SMILE :) Remember, we REALLY love you and want the best for/from you...and WE TRULY BELIEVE YOU ALL CAN DO THIS IF YOU PUT YOUR MINDS TO IT! Poetry Chart for 4th and 6th
Fourth period's due date is Thursday, 11/7. Sixth period's due date is Tuesday, 11/12 (because your revision is due next class).
TO PRINT OUT YOUR HW, YOU NEED TO CLICK ON THE GREEN BUTTON BELOW. Once you access it, print the chart, then fill it in. Basically, you have a list of themes (10 in all), and you need to look for two poems from the ones we've read this year (not "The Cockroach") that fit each theme. Include the poem title, the authors, and 1-2 quotes that elaborate on the theme. Should you have any questions, see us during lunch or after school tomorrow (Wednesday). IF YOU MAKE THIS A MEANINGFUL ASSIGNMENT, YOU WILL HAVE A HUGE ADVANTAGE ON YOUR AICE EXAM NEXT WEEK. Remember, the tests are on 11/13 and 11/18. For homework, you must create 6 found poems.
"What is a found poem?" you ask... It is much like a collage. An author will use direct quotations from prose and turn them into poetry much like an artist will take cutouts from magazines and newspapers or scraps of fabric to create a masterpiece. Writing this type of poetry is much like a treasure hunt through text; hence, this assignment will serve as a purposeful review of the novel as well as an exercise in strengthening your evidence and examples! Using your annotations as your guide, search for words, lines, or sentences in Half of a Yellow Sun that represent the following characters: Ugwu, Olanna, Richard, Odenigbo, Kainene, AND an additional character of your choice. Follow these guidelines:
We look forward to discussing these in class on Tuesday, so come prepared! We love you all! :o) Here's an example: Mama Too much schooling ruins a woman Will not let this witch control him Consult the dibia; the man’s medicine is famous in our parts Tie up Olanna’s womb Cripple her Kill her Black cat The packet black too Palm wine Concentrated Made men stagger too soon Rubbing a potion on Amala More than a hundred fat greenish flies Something terrible Ominously victorious Community Service Opportunity
on Saturday, Nov. 2nd Jacob's karate instructor is hosting a haunted house for his students and the community on Nov. 2nd from 5pm to 7pm. He needs assistance setting up AND during the event. If you're available and interested, please let me know A.S.A.P. The first 8 people to respond will get the job. Love you all! SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY PAGES TO READ FOR HOAYS NEXT CLASS, AND THERE MIGHT BE SOME CONFUSING PARTS, FEEL FREE "CONVERSE" WITH YOUR CLASSMATES ON OUR LIT REVIEW PAGE. SEE THE TABS AT THE TOP; IT'S NEXT TO THE WORD OF THE DAY TAB. DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!! A Streetcar Named Desire Lunch Group: Plan to meet again tomorrow to discuss the play/film, prior exam essay topics, and possible questions you may encounter in November. Click the REVISED Curricular Calendar for your reading schedule. OUR T-SHIRTS ARE HERE! You will get them in class on THURSDAY!!! Remember to rep RoGo by wearing your shirts on Friday! Reminder - Read Chapters 3 & 4 for HoaYS tonight!
PERIODS 4 & 6: If you are testing for Papers 3 & 4 in May, we've already spoken to you individually, and you will do what is said below for MAY TESTERS ONLY. For November testers (which is all our seniors but the seven to whom we've already spoken), you will analyze and complete blue papers with umbrella statements on the back for the poems we assigned IN CLASS on Monday...and that is it!!! DO NOT do the MAY TESTERS WORK - that is only for them! IF YOU NEED A PICK-ME-UP, CLICK ON THE NEW VIDEO TO THE RIGHT. :)
MAY TESTERS ONLY: Please print the documents under "May Testers" on the right column of this page (below "Class Documents"). For homework, due Wednesday, analyze the following five poems from pg. 5 to pg. 7 ("District and Circle" through "Poet to Blacksmith." Complete the blue papers--including your umbrella statement on the back. HW for Monday, 10/7 - We made it VERY clear in class on Thursday that all you had to do for Monday (tomorrow) is to read the five assigned poems. DO NOT START Half of a Yellow Sun. We are going to have to readjust our schedule. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS WHEN WE ASSIGN HW, and there will be NO QUESTION what you need to do! Love you!
RICHARD III HW - Your HW is similar to WAoVW. Write an A and B question for Richard III on a separate sheet of paper. Bring in your R3 questions next class, along with your R3 book and WaoVW book. We also created a post for R3 questions that you would like to share!
KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CALENDAR, PEOPLE!!!! YOU DO/DID NOT HAVE TO READ HoaYS for today! Why would be collecting money for Wednesday if you had to have it read today???????? Wouldn't it have been under "Due 10/1" if it was today????? In that whole post, you focus on "this" - OMGoodness! It was removed for those unable to use critical thinking skills. See you tomorrow.... :)
Half of a Yellow Sun - If you want us to order the book (YOU NEED TO HAVE PART ONE READ BY MONDAY), bring in $13 EXACT CHANGE by WEDNESDAY! You can always buy it on your own, but this is in case you won't be able to get to the store by then! IT'S ALREADY THE LAST MINUTE, so DON'T be caught without it! IN THE MEANTIME, BRING IN YOUR RICHARD III BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
HW DUE 10/1: Your HW for this weekend is to finish Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (if you already haven't) and re-skim the entire play for ideas and key passages on which Cambridge might test. Come up with at least ONE idea or theme and ONE chunk of dialogue that could show up on our Cambridge exam and generate a question for each. We will explore these next class. Click HERE, HERE, and HERE to see questions from previous exams to give you some ideas of question types. (FYI: There is a document linked to each "HERE" for a total of three.) WE CREATED A BLOG FOR YOUR POETRY REVIEW.
IT'S ONE OF THE TABS AT THE TOP OF OUR SITE. ON THAT PAGE, YOU WILL SEE ALL THE POEMS THAT WILL BE INCLUDED ON YOUR EXAM. KNOW THAT WE LOVE YOU! YOU'VE GOT THIS! POETRY EXAM ON WEDNESDAY (NOT MONDAY):
To help those of you who are stressed and already have a weekend of work for other classes, we are going to move the poetry exam until Wednesday. This will also give us time to discuss the three poems you read Thursday night ("Elegy For My Father’s Father," "Praise Song for My Mother," and "My Parents), as well as the ones we are assigning now: "Because I Liked You Better," "One Art," "From the Triumph of Time," and "Meeting at Night." For the test on Wednesday, we will create a blog post for you to share your ideas. Look for this on Monday afternoon. What will be on the exam? All of the poems we've read thus far - back to "Follower" and "Here' UP TO the ones you need to read by Monday. That is 15 in total. DO YOUR BLUE PAPERS! These will help you because you can study straight from them. We are also attaching a POETRY STUDY chart that you can use if you need it. (You can put all 15 poems on it if that helps, or you can organize them on the chart by theme/subject. CLICK HERE for the chart!) You do NOT have to do this chart; it's only meant to help you with your studying! :) Anything on the blue sheets is fair game for the exam. It's not a mock-type essay exam; it's an exam! Know that this is not meant to be easy. You are CHAMPIONS, and champions NEVER become champions without being UNTESTED (pardon the pun). Accept the challenge; YOU'VE GOT THIS!!!!!!! You would not be with us if we did not believe in you - YOU JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you all!
Getting Ready for November's Test!Per our discussion today, we need you to print the poems we will be reading in and out of class. CLICK HERE to access them. Please print them as is. In addition, we recommend that you also print the Tone Words and Poetry Terms to the right. And if you haven't done so already, print the Mark Scheme for Papers 3/4. BE READY TO GO FOR WEDNESDAY!
You also need to solidify a copy of Half of a Yellow Sun (HoaYS) AND Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (WAoVW). These are REQUIRED readings, which we will begin on Tuesday, 9/17 (WAoVW) and 10/1 (HoaYS). WE RECOMMEND YOU GET THEM BOTH NOW!!!!! In addition, if you choose to participate and read an extra play during lunch or after school, also purchase A Streetcar Named Desire (ASND). This play is also on the exam and is a student favorite across the world. Every second counts, so be sure you get your books NOW. :) This will be all that you will need to purchase between now and November. :)
